The Wildcats play Kansas State University in Kansas. He represents the university in the North Division of the conference Big 12 and is classified under Division I of the NCAA. The team is also widely known as Kansas State, KSU and K-State. The Wildcats started playing football in 1893 during a game on Thanksgiving Day against St. Mary's Academy which they won 18-10. The stadium is home of the Wildcats Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas, which has a capacity of 52,200. Bill Snyder was one of the coaches of the KSU. During his time, the Wildcats have won 11 seasons including eleven consecutive bowl game appearances. Her current coach is Ron Prince. However, it was announced in November 2008 it will no longer coach for the Wildcats next season. The teams competing are the major Jaywalker Kansas. KSU official mascot is Willie the Wildcat. Their all time record is 452-596-41 (.431).

The team is currently on the lookout for a new coach. Ron Prince-three-year reign ends November 22. Many fans are blaming him Wildcats losing streak. The coach is supposed to go to Bill Snyder, if he wants. Kansas is said to desire a coach with experience Bowl will start as soon as possible. However, the money could be a problem.
