We left our camp in Nairobi at 8 am on the first day of travel. We recommend you arrive in Nairobi at least the day before starting the trip, however, if you're there with a few days to spare much to see and do in the city. In the city of Nairobi is the National Museum and the markets. Near the camp are: Karen Blixen's house, Langata Giraffe Center and Nairobi National Park for a first glimpse of African wildlife.

Week One

Leaving Nairobi we stop at the viewpoint, the scenic Rift Valley to 8,000 feet high, overlooking Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha. We went from the spectacular scenery of the valley Rift to the highlands and spend our first night near Nakuru, where you can end the day drinking beer in Kembu camping.

We have an early start, crossing the Ugandan border at Malaba and Busia. The scenery changes to tropical forests and plantations of tea and sugar. We catch our first glimpse of Lake Victoria on route to the capital Uganda, our overnight stop.

Stop for photos as we cross Ecuador, continue southwest to Kabale town, gateway to the Mountain Reservations gorilla. We passed that night camped on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi the deepest crater lake in Uganda.

Climbing through lush terraced hills to Kisoro, There are panoramic views of this unique Ugandan landscape on every turn. From the road we have prospects for more than three countries – Uganda, Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Virunga Mountains – Mountains of the Moon, home to rare mountain gorillas.

Kisoro is situated under the peaks of the mountains of Mufumbiro make a stunning base for the next two to three days, which is reserved for trekking the famed mountain gorillas.

In groups of six eight people with two trekking guides in the forest to find one family of gorillas. The walk is an experience in itself, following your guides as made their way through the thick vegetation. The guides track the gorillas almost every day, but still, sometimes it can take eight hours to find them. You will be rewarded if the sight of human-like giants playing with their young, feeding, grooming and staring curiously at you. We spent an hour of observation of these amazing animals – bring lots of film.

Since the groups are going to the gorillas are small, it takes a couple of days for everyone to make the trip. While others are looking for great apes, which can take in local markets, walk to nearby mountain lakes, or enter the park Magahinga National one-day excursion to a volcano or a guided path.

Even in the highest of our time spent with the gorillas, we head up Lake Bunyonyi meaning "place of birds". It is known, not only for its waterfowl, but also for its population of freshwater crayfish. Lake Bunyonyi is a great place to relax or for the more energetic you can canoe to one of the many islands that dot the sea, swimming, or taking in the scenery on mountain bikes.

We return to the capital of Uganda. Kampala is a bustling modern city, leaving no shortage of things to see and do. You can visit the Museum National Kasubi Tombs of the Buganda people.

Crossing the Owen Falls dam we arrive at Jinja on the shores of Lake Victoria. Our camp for the next days above Bujagali Falls is a welcome break from traveling and have a lazy afternoon to pitch our tents in the grassy terraces overlooking the River Nile

You can spend a fun day rafting down the Nile As the grade 5 rapids, this river has a lot of birds and wildlife, while to see the drifting between the rapids. The rafting is rounded off with a barbecue and drinks at sunset, then back to camp to return to live video.

Not far from Nakuru in the Rift Valley is Lake Naivasha. We camped on the shore of the lake where hippos often come to graze at night and in black and white colobus turn early in the morning.

Nearby is Hell's Gate National Park where you can hire bicycles to the park and see the herds of zebra, buffalo and antelope. You can also walk in the predator free reserve amongst Africans game. We headed south to the Masai Mara National Reserve, camping on the edge of the park. The sweeping plains evoke a picture of East Africa that most people have in their minds and rarely disappointed when confronted with reality. Great viewing game is assured throughout the year. The Mara offers us everything, amazing landscapes and abundant wildlife including the Big Five.

From here we return to Nairobi with the chance to play party at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.

Nairobi at Victoria Falls: 25 Days

Zimbabwe Post Election

Leaving Malawi we cross the southern Zambia to Livingstone on the north side of Falls. For the foreseeable future are not going to travel through Zimbabwe.

We visited South Luangwa National Park in the southeast corner of Zambia. The park is well worth worth the visit, recent trips have seen wild dogs, leopards, lions and buffaloes. We camped next to the park, park entrance $ 25, disc set $ 40.

We leave our camp in Nairobi at 8 am on the first day of travel. We recommend you arrive in Nairobi at least the day before departure flight, but if you're there a few days to spare There are many things to see and do in the city. In the city of Nairobi is the National Museum and markets. About camp are: Karen Blixen's house, Langata Giraffe Center and the Nairobi National Park for a first glimpse of African wildlife.

Week One

Us headed south to Namanga and cross the border with Tanzania. We arrived in Arusha, where you can take a detour to the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The trip is to camp for two nights in the parks amidst the animals. If you are not visiting the park you can tour the markets of the city of Arusha.

One day we travel from Arusha leads to Dar es Salaam in the Indian Ocean coast. Over the centuries trade between Africa and Arabia has resulted in a mixture of Arabs and Africans into a beautiful Swahili (coastal) culture with wooden sailing dhows crossing the ocean, coconut plantations and fishing villages with mosques on the beach.

Second Week

Dar es Salaam you can take the ferry to the island of Zanzibar. Here is the old stone capital of the Sultanate of Oman, beaches, spice tours, snorkelling, diving and travel to other nearby islands. Zanzibar is a fascinating place to visit and you can stay for 3 or 4 days to take all through the south in Tanzania, our route takes us by Mikumi National Park where we may well see giraffe or elephant grazing along the road.

Week Three

Crossing the border into Malawi, we to the huge lake shore. The campsites and small houses along Lake Malawi offer sandy beaches, swimming and diving, water skiing, riding or walking in surroundings. You will also find markets selling beautifully carved Malawi chairs, tables and other souvenirs.

In Blantyre, Malawi's former capital which obtain visas for the next stage. We enter Mozambique and spend a day driving through the forest, through villages, mud huts and small children wave at us as they tend their herds of cows and goats.

In Zimbabwe we visit the modern capital Harare, then to Gweru and the Antelope Park. Here is the only place in the world who can walk with lion cubs, also you can swim with elephants and play Polocrosse.

In the city of Bulawayo it is Rhodes Matopos National Park, here you can walk near wild white rhino, see Bushman rock paintings and see the fantastic views of the tomb of Rhodes the founder of modern Zimbabwe.

22 to 25

Finally we reach the Victoria Falls where the Zambezi River plunges 100 meters into an abyss mile wide, creating one of the most incredible natural wonders of the world. The local name for the Falls is' Mosi-oa-Tunya 'which means' the smoke thunders "and soon we'll know why. When the river is in full swing, falling water causes a huge roar and sends a cloud of spray up to 500 feet into the air.

We stayed in the town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, above the waterfall where there is plenty to see and do. Adventure activities abound – can bungee jumping, white water raft and go game-viewing on horseback. Quieter excursions include canoeing, light aircraft or helicopter flights over the falls, and the sunset cruise on the Zambezi. Of course, the Victoria Falls themselves are the main attraction and you can walk through the rainforest along the cliff face, for an excellent view.
