If you have dreams of the major leagues or just want to improve your swing for the company game, you need to get some practice in. This isn’t always easy if you do not have a baseball diamond in your back yard. If you do have a baseball diamond in your backyard then you have enough money to hire a trainer, so you don’t need my help. For the rest of us, there are some simple ways to help you get better.
The first and most popular option is the batting cage. You can go to the cages and swing the bat to your heart’s content so long as you have the money to keep that baseball pitching machine throwing the balls in your direction. For the most part, the path will be very similar when practicing in a batting cage so this is where many people start. The batting cages have a couple advantages that other options do not. You don’t have to collect the balls after practice, you can’t lose any of the balls and a baseball pitching machine will never get tired of pitching for you.
One of the best options you can have available to you is a friend that wants to practice their pitch. A real human being throwing the ball is going to give more variation and a better feel for the real deal than a baseball pitching machine. The only real problems are that you have to arrange time and that the human arm gets tired.
I think the best option is to set up your own batting cage and buy a baseball pitching machine. If you have the room, this is really the best option. You get to practice whenever you want and you can adjust the machine so it pitches differently.
If you combine a couple of these options then you’ll be ready for the next game in no time.
