Independent Professional Baseball Players: Why play for so little money

If you've been to a baseball game freelancer, you know that the level of play is equivalent to different levels of the ordinary "affiliated" Minor Leagues. What is not known by many fans, however, is the lack of money for the independence of many baseball players do.

In any given year, dozens of baseball players signing independent contracts with affiliated Minor League teams, and each year some are played in the big leagues.

The next time you see a baseball game, or if has baseball players from around the city independently, we now have a better understanding of why they do what they do, whatever the price at which they play. If you say you think pro athletes should play with more passion and that too, then be sure to attend a professional baseball game. You will be pleasantly surprised!
